Progressivism is about making progress. Being better/doing better when given the opportunity to do so. You seem to not understand that.

You are using the same illogical tactics that the right uses to defend a word that is no longer used as it has been co-opted by people that use it in a harmful way. We move on, choose more inclusive language, and that helps people. Especially when others don’t have to figure out the context of the word to decide if you are being descriptive or just an asshole. It’s not about not labeling bad people a certain way, it’s about not using what has become a slur to describe them at the expense of those who have been labeled that for real medical reasons. And who have been labeled that because they are different.
