Different studios. But yeah, we need Shang-Chi 2.

Cretton is the writer and director of Shang-Chi. He was attached to direct Avengers:Doomsday back in 2022 (when it was still Kang) and stepped down “in order to focus on Shang-Chi 2”, we were told.

My hope was that Avengers was Shang-Chi focused. While working on Avengers it became too Shang-Chi focused so they said, let’s just make this movie Shang-Chi 2, then we can have a more even Avengers.

Of course with this news…

But maybe they can weave him back in?
