I keep banging on about how hiring practices need to be reformed, and stopping this shit should be the first thing on the agenda

There is no agenda for the benefit of working people.

Corpos do this on purpose to tired out the wage slaves with bull shit.

Best we can do is to educate ourselves and avoid these idiotic games.

Middle levels and senior people can start doing this today.

Entry level, well young people act like this is the first time this has happened in history but I can tell you that entry level has been bloodbath since early 1990s.

But once you get some grip, start acting like you respect yourself

If we elect the right people we can make it the agenda. That’s a big ask yes, but it’s also why they don’t want us to vote.

If people keep voting two party regime or don’t vote, the owners don’t care.

Voting third party as protest vote is where it is at IMHO so maybe in 20 years there is a third option

Ain’t American democracy grand?

Start by paying interviewees the wage of the job posted for their time interviewing and doing “tests”

These fuckers spend bajillions on HR software and HR execs, surely they can figure out how to hire quality candidates at a more efficient clip?

Work Reform

!workreform@lemmy.world

Create post

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.

Our Philosophies:

  • All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
  • Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
  • Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
  • We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.

Our Goals

  • Higher wages for underpaid workers.
  • Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
  • Better and fewer working hours.
  • Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
  • Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.
