FYI: admins and people on other platforms can already see votes.
For instance: check your comment over at Fedia.io to see who upvoted you.
Downvotes seem to be hidden by default (but they may be visible for logged in users?). Instance admins can also see votes already, and thanks to the power of the Fediverse, anyone with the ability to follow instructions online can be an instance admin.
Naw. Downvotes are invisible by default here on fedia, but we can see upvotes. Just gotta check the page for them.
I gotta say, I’ve known this for a while, and the lack of downvote transparency has always frustrated me in the moment, but looking back it’s probably for the best. I would not have used it in a positive way.
