I think what I’d like to see is: Dillon can keep the race win but gets suspended 1 race for the right hook on Hamlin. Then, no waiver for the suspension so the 1 win DOESN’T put him in the playoffs.
Logano will see some form of punishment but I really hope they clean up pit road over this because that’s WILD to have babies out there like that.
I don’t think they’ll not grant the waiver, but a penalty could possibly turn the win into an encumbered win, meaning it wouldn’t count for playoff eligibility. Whether or not they actually do that remains to be seen.
I imagine Logano will just get a “don’t do that again” fine.
