my bad. It’s a federated texting app kinda like discord (unlike lemmy, it’s not based on ActivityPub, so not technically part of the so-called ‘fediverse’). Anyways, most people are more familiar with the most popular client used to access matrix, which is Element. Maybe I should’ve opened with that idk haha.
Anyways, it doesn’t have to be on Matrix/element, just hoping there’s something that isn’t a shitty app. I need more queer online friends lol.

as for specs, it’s a newer model Thinkpad, E26 or E16 or something but can’t remember for sure, just know it ends in a 6 lmfao. Got 16 GiB RAM, and something like 128GiB storage (would’ve preferred 256 or even a TiB, but there’s a slot for upgrade anyways so whatever). Running arch + KDE.

*it’s not retro, I’m literally talking about technology from 2000-2013. Mp3 players, high quality digital cameras, pretty much everything in a modern day smart phone before they got replaced by them.
