The starliner is to return unmanned, according to this article. Can you imagine being on the ISS, and watching the ship you should have taken shred apart into burning rain as it attempts to pierce the veil of our atmosphere.

Some skinny girl climbed into my lap at a college house party. I was very fucked up. For some reason, I thought a good thing to say was, “Why not, I’ve fucked fatter chicks.” She immediately got up and we never spoke again. No clue why I said that. I never even got her name, which is a shame, because I’d like to apologize.

Coworker told me they were suspected of having adhd as a child and were tested. Doctors wanted to medicate to treat the adhd, but their mother said no, she didn’t want her kid zonked out on meds. She was self medicating with alcohol on the daily, turns out.

It’s wild to me that ctl+alt+del is relevant today at all. I used to read webcomics in high school all the time, CAD included. Loss was definitely eye opening, it was a real moment of “wasn’t this comic about video games?” But then it was forgotten about for so long. It’s a marvel to me that random moment in such a dated comic got meme’d on this hard.

Watch V For Vendetta next, also Hugo Weaving. In that film, he does an excellent job of portraying emotions from behind a mask. He does a better job from behind a mask than a lot of actors can do with their entire face.

Could be a few bad months from being homeless, never a few good months from being wealthy.

I’m not so sure about that. If a mermaid and a centaur had a baby, there’s a chance they’d give birth to a regular dude. Perhaps we’re just not breeding minotaurs with the right things. Someone install Cloud Meadow and get back to me.

I get to pay 4k a year, just to be able to be charged only 6k out of pocket. After that 10k, I still would owe 10% of every charge after that.

Or I can pay 2k a year for the privilage of being charged a little over 8k out of pocket. After that, I’d owe 20% of everything after.

So every year, I get to gamble my prospective income on how much healthcare I think I’ll need. I want to save on monthly costs? Hopefully nothing emergent happens. Expecting a procedure? Now I’m out a few extra hundred a month just so I don’t have to pay more than 10% after already paying 6k.

All this is assuming I don’t get denied coverage and have to foot the whole bill anyway. I need to see a specialist, though, and the only one nearby isn’t in my network. I gotta drive an hour and a half or pay 100%.

I’m paying more than the savings I’m able to put away to assholes who own yachts bigger than the house I rent.

Who would view this system as favorable?
