Literally doesn’t even matter what they call themselves. Russia and Iran are blatantly capitalist, authoritarian states yet they still support them, lmao. They’re idiots, not even the useful type.

Bluesky may be a circle-jerk, but at least it isn’t a literal neo nazi platform. We still have a ways to go till the fediverse goes mainstream.

Mostly mixed. The way i think it’s a weakness is because I’m an anti authoritarian leftist, and i’d like a stronger anarchist/libertarian community on lemmy. Despite hexbear/lemmygrad/lemmy thriving, Solarpunk and dbzer0 feel a little lacking community wise. I’d also like a diverse political community, in general.

Another con is that if you even just disagree with a [bastard] moderator, they’ll immediately ban you. Happens on lemmy.world with being anti-zionist, happens on lemmy.ml under the guise of ‘rule 1’ for literally just criticizing a mod such as dessalines.

But i also think it’s a pro due to the lack of far-right content on lemmy. I remember on reddit casually seeing disgusting content, such as blatant racism (Such as arabs being called sand n-rs, Or racism against asians/immigrants in general on r/canada + r/europe) and most of that is obscure on lemmy.

I’m not denying that the Lemmy community doesn’t have problems, Lord no. But it’s much better than most other platforms.

Eh, i agree that lemmy shouldn’t grow too big (Reddit is an example of why, feels like a circlejerk of bots and reposts), but the userbase feels too small currently. On a lot of communities, The activity is 1-2 posts a week, which makes it feel quite dead. And I especially miss the niche communities that you could join on reddit, for small games or obscure topics.

No, i wouldn’t. I was saying that lemmy.blahaj.zone is a trans (and lgbtq in general) inclusive instance.

I must admit, i don’t know much about the userbase, so i’m not immediately doubting that it could have issues, or outright transphobia. I was just pointing out that the user in the image immediately accused the OP and the instance in general of being transphobic, despite the instance literally being for trans/lgbt+ people.

No no guys, i promise after 3,000 more years of a capitalist totalitarian dictatorship, we will finally transition to real luxury space gay communism!!!

As much as i love photon, i don’t think it should be the default. The default lemmy ui is pretty slick and lightweight, even if it is kind of bad. Photon can be sluggish, and overwhelming for some.

I think they should just improve the default UI (which they are currently), and leave it for the user to decide.

FYI for non saudis: you can be charged with terrorism for “apostasy”, or “witchcraft”, or “endangering the status quo” (criticizing or revolting against the royal family in any way). So high chance that many of the 45 executed for terrorism aren’t even terrorists.

Oil truly is a curse.

Yup, I checked the comments on some posts and they were blaming islam. Once they knew that he was also anti-islam, they went mask off and started blaming Arabs and promoting deportation.

We can’t make these clowns happy, they’ll always just blame us.
