Where should the industry go?

Maybe focus more on developing good games that are more than just good graphics. A shit game will still be a shit game at 4k and 120fps. A good game doesn’t necessarily need all that to be good. Game developers seem to have lost sight of doing more with less.

The industry has corrupted the mindset of their consumer base with this capitalist driven myth that you need to buy more stuff to be happy. The kids out there trolling about shit graphics and the PCMRs complaining about the lower console specs are gobbling it up. Now that one company is seeing diminishing returns, they’re considering pulling back on that growth mantra. Maybe they’ll start encouraging game development that doesn’t waste so many computing resources for schlocky derivative lazy content. I’m sure they’ll find some other way to convince us that in order to keep gaming, we’ll need to keep buying.

They’re almost certainly talking about the TNG episode “Pen Pals” where data makes friends with a little girl whose planet is dying.

For those that don’t want to bother reading the article, to avoid listeria you should buy fresh and local whenever possible, avoiding prepared foods (especially those stored chilled for longer periods of time during shipping)and avoid storing chilled foods for long periods of time even if the shelf life indicates they would otherwise okay. Listeria thrives in cooler temps.

Worse is a hard metric to analyze when comparing 2 different storms. One may have higher winds. Another might dump more rain. Another might have brought a high storm surge to an area that couldn’t handle it. Another might come in kinda mild and just stall, battering one area for a long time. One storm might do massively more damage if it hits Atlanta vs. Miami. I’ll forgive people for getting a little hyperbolic when describing a storm that has personally impacted them. Storms may hit a broad region, but the impact of a storm is always hyper local.

I don’t know what you’re talking about man. My favorite sexy photos are ones where it’s obvious the lady FEELS sexy. If it takes some sexy lingerie and moody lighting, then so be it. If it looks like she’s enjoying the pose, then I’m into it. I can see boobs anywhere. I want to see her joy, her pleasure. That’s hot. Oddly not the ones where the girl “knows” she’s hot, those are different somehow. Don’t ask me to elaborate. Raw naughty un-dressed up sexy bits are fun too, if she looks like she’s having fun. I just don’t need her joy to be directly related to me in order to value it. I don’t care if she took it for me. She shared it with me, that’s enough.

That’s exactly why repairing any old Honda or Toyota hatchback will be easier than repairing an e-bike.

Every movie is a muppet movie waiting to happen.

“No Country for Old Men”, with the killer played by Sam the blue eagle.

“Brokeback Mountain”, with Kermit and Foxzie Bear playing the leads, no human roles.

Rowlf as the unexpected lead in “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Fistful of Dollars”, and “Fistful of Dollars”. In Lawrence of Arabia, only the other British soldiers are played by humans. In the Spaghetti Westerns, the only humans are the women.

“Smokey and the Bandit”, with Kermit as the Bandit, Rowlf as the trucker, the bride played by a real person, Miss Piggie as Smokey, and Fozzi Bear as the groom/deputy.

“The Blues Brothers”, starring Kermit and Fozzi as Elwood and Jake. All the other characters are Muppets, but the bands are played by real blues musicians.

“Brazil”: Kermit as Sam Lowry, Robert Dinero reprising his role as “human” Tuttle, Miss Piggy as Sam’s mother, and Jill Layton played by the only other human.

Watership Down by Richard Adams deserves a mention I think. It’s not exactly a series, but it did get a sequel. Richard Adams also wrote The Plague Dogs and Shardik. Shardik doesn’t actually take the POV of the animals, but Lord Shardik is a mythical bear that is kind of a main character. I haven’t read The Plague Dogs yet, and only learned about it while checking my spellings for this comment, but everything else.by Adams that I’ve read has been amazing.

There will ALWAYS be mistakes, bias, and corruption. There is no such thing as incontrovertible evidence. And even if there was some fantastical magical way to know absolute truth, that is still a pretty poor justification for more murder.
