I’m new here so I don’t understand how downvotes work here, people seem to downvote everything? I think all my comments over the last few days all have a downvote or two. I don’t understand why people downvote shit (ha) they simply think is weird.

I’ve downvoted things that are misogynistic or racist, but not things that are just weird… is there an algorithm that’s affected by upvotes/downvotes?
