I just stopped fighting it and bought a cheap usb c adapter. The only time I want to use earphones is when I’m out anyway.

I mean I think it can be boiled down pretty simply: cause the least harm to living things that you can personally manage, according to your definition of harm. Having impossible goals isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If your impossible goal is to make a billion dollars ethically, and you get to 50 million being 95% ethical, you could still consider that a win, even though you didn’t reach your impossible goal.

Even the simple goal of “always being a good person 100% of the time” is probably impossible to achieve over an entire lifetime while meeting every person’s definition of it. That doesn’t mean it’s useless for someone to strive for that within their definition of “good person”.

In fact I’d say the vast majority of meaningful, non trivial goals could be considered “impossible”.

100%. It’s almost like the first is a beta for the second, despite being amazing in its own right.

I’ve been liking searxng. It aggregates results from search engines you select and returns the results without being tracked by them.

https://docs.searxng.org/

https://searx.space/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SearXNG

SearXNG is a free and open-source federated metasearch engine forked from Searx. SearXNG supports over 70 different search engines. Similar to Searx, it does not collect information about users.

I’d wager the vast majority of people that don’t know anything about another person’s religion couldn’t tell if what they’re saying is true or not.

Circumcision, fasting, transubstantiation, without any knowledge or frame of reference there really is no way to tell if someone is just talking out of their ass or not when it comes to religious traditions.

The magic of the modern day means you can type “define” or “pronounce” then any word into Google and it’ll tell you how to say it. There’s also an absurd amount of YouTube pronunciation videos for basically every word that exists.

Not that there’s a problem asking, this is more advice for future words your friend doesn’t know. So you can help them. The dummy.

In fairness he says 90 minutes after waking, not 90 minutes after the walk. If you get home from the walk by 6:30 that’s 30 minutes to make it, or potentially buy it if you have one nearby to get on the way home/quickly drive to.

Now yes that’s already 10am, but considering he mentions 2pm in the right column, you could make the argument the left column is the “until 10am” part, and the right is “after 10am” part, though I am giving large amounts of benefit of the doubt at this point.
