So, you comment put me in mind about the latest Gaurdian essential poll podcast I listened to tonight.

Lewis and Remeikis in their discussion really hit on Dutton’s strategy. And discuss why he hasn’t tacked back toward the Teal vote. Just like the revanchivist style populists he’s connected with around the world, neoliberalism is quickly being discarded for more authoritarian power structures. So maybe in Dutton’s mind, and those like him, socialist v capitalist has ceased to be an argument that can sway them.

I don’t know, don’t think i’ve got that quite right. But theres something in amongst all of it.

Not sure i’m fully there with you on that one. Government seems to fund sports in general quite a lot, lots of other costs i’d rather them use any extra money on.

I think this is more a case of special interest associations like this need to think about the designs of their funding models if they want to avoid low levels of duress like this

Huh, i thought they’d be visting all over the country since its their first visit in this capacity.

It’ll be interesting to see turnout, i reckon there’ll be big crowds, peoples attitudes seem to have changed on them since they became the monarchs.

Anyway, we’re doing your server and thus username no justice, commenting in such gloomy terms. Solarpunk is such a breath of fresh air into these issues. And where endemic power structures fail you already see its themes of strengthened community bonds quickly reestablish themselves and shine through.

Solarpunk also hits the nail on the head with iur societies key issue. Its the structural design of our societies elevating private ownership claims as superior to societal ownership claims, its imbalanced.

But Covid, financial crises, wars and now Climate change quickly prove the, so called, independently strong are actually only as strong as the societal strength holding them tall.
