„Robinsons Requiem“, available on GoG.

It’s a survival horror first person rpg with a semi realistic health system. It’s creepy and hard and so goddamn good. I’m am actually surprised that it gets mentioned so rarely because I would not know of any other earlier game with those now so ubiquitous survival mechanics.

Isn’t the whole point of the federation exercise to avoid a central all powerful hub?

Yes, it definitely increases friction for the user. On the other hand the concept is not THAT hard to grasp. I’d rather that the clients make account/instance switching easier and avoid recreating monolithic structures.

I keep legendaries/aspects that are in the top 20% of their possible roll (you DID activate the enhanced tooltips and comparison stuff in gameplay options, right?^^).

Beat Saber & VTOL VR are my recommendations for VR games that can be more then a 30min ExpErIEncE.

You didn’t ask, I know… :-)

Dave The Diver.

Currently gets quite some hype, rightfully so IMHO. Neat diverse gameplay loops, fantastic mood & humor, all around good game. Has several progression mechanics that tickle the Pokémon receptors. Also very light RPGish upgrade paths.

Might be worth a look.

I think it highly depends on who does the talking. If it’s people I do not care about, I am also not interested and/or bothered. If it is people that mean something to me I AM interested in their opinion about me which they communicate while talking about me. I will not go „out of my way“ to find out what they are saying, but I am curious at least.

God, I really hate the look of this thing. Must be one of the ugliest aircrafts of all time.

Sorry. Great picture tho.

Ultimate Chicken Horse has quickly become the goto-local-multiplayer in my group.

The game design is so devilishly elegant: you co-create 2D jump&run levels. Together you want to make them so easy that at least one player can finish the level (and get points), but also hard enough that not all of the group get through (no one gets points).

It’s great. Will most likely be on sale. Don’t sleep on it!

Disclaimer: Never played Star Realms, but I assume it is very similar to Hero Realms.

And no, it’s not similar at all. There is a lot of stuff added on top in Undaunted that makes it not a deck builder in the primary sense. You move your troops around on the battlefield; positioning, cover and distance are as impactful as the stats on the troops cards. Also there are only a handful of different card types - scout, gunner, machine gunner, sniper and mortar. All cards of a type are technically identical.

You could think of the deck as both your “health bar” and your available options per round.

Each troop token on the battlefield is represented by several cards in your deck (the soldiers that compose that troop). If your enemy hits, you discard one of those cards from the unit they hit. If you can’t do that any longer, you remove the token from the battlefield.

Also the cards dictate the options you can do per turn, such as move, fire, taking cover etc. That means if you don’t pull the “bravo scout” card, you can’t use the bravo scout token this round.

Summarizing: Undaunted is a great - snappy, easy, elegant, but also deep - “dudes on a map” game. But if you expect “only” a deck builder, you would have the wrong picture.
